How did Glow go?

By Molly Toms

An update from our Youth Worker, Toby from our Glow event.

Glow is designed to help young people know God and know each other better, all whilst having fun, worshipping God and learning how to practically apply their faith to their everyday life.

On the 24th of April Creation Fest and SWYM put on a youth event for the young people of Cornwall called Glow.

The night started off with a wonderful time of friendship and fun, this included nachos, basketball, football, Xboxes, PlayStations, pool, air-hockey and so much more. Following this we moved into a worship space where 123 young people from 17 different churches worshipped together. For many it was the first time they had done this in 2 years. The night also included a gospel message sharing fire circus masterclass, a session on social justice, a session on being a Christian in sporting environments and a wonderful preach from Grace Wheeler on what Jesus life, death and resurrection means for us. Following Grace’s talk 8 young people stood up to either commit or re-commit to following Christ and 30 young people came forward to receive prayer for being all in for Jesus!

We were also blessed by the generosity of 40 volunteers who travelled from as far as Penzance and Exeter to be with us! We are always incredibly thankful for all of our volunteers! We could not do what we do without them!
