Introducing Niall

By Kate Fowle

The board of Creation Fest UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Niall Dunne as the charity’s new Team Leader.

After prayer and deliberation, the board of Creation Fest UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Niall Dunne as the charity’s new Team Leader.

Niall is a familiar face in the organisation, having been a member of a band that performed at Creation Fest’s annual event during its early days in Devon, and more recently serving as the organisation’s Pastoral Lead for the past seven months. As Team Leader, Niall will oversee all aspects of the year-round charity, including the annual summer festival in Wadebridge, Cornwall.

Niall is charged with steering and strengthening the 23-year-old charity in its gospel-centric mission in the British Southwest and beyond. He will report directly to the Creation Fest Board.

“We are thrilled Niall has accepted the challenge to take on the important role of leading Creation Fest. We believe his skills and calling will be invaluable as we prayerfully continue to build an organisation whose chief aim is to make much of Jesus in Britain.” – Brian Brodersen, President, Creation Fest

Niall comes to the role following a wealth of vocational experiences. As a trained musician, he travelled and lived abroad as a member of the rock band “Transition”. After transitioning back to the UK, for sixteen years Niall was involved in various aspects of teaching, including working with children with special educational and emotional needs. Niall would follow that with work in various churches serving as a worship leader, youth worker, and pastoring men struggling with addictions and mental health.

“I’m so thrilled (and slightly daunted!) to be stepping into this leadership role at Creation Fest. I have been powerfully impacted personally by the ministry over the last two decades, so it’s an honour to continue the legacy of Sarah Yardley, and Phil Pechonis before her, and I’m excited to see what God does in Cornwall and beyond in the coming years! It’s an honour to serve with the incredible team of staff and volunteers that we have at Creation Fest, and a privilege to be part of God’s story in this region!” – Niall Dunne, Creation Fest Team Leader

Niall and wife Hannah live in Liskeard, Cornwall. The couple have three children ranging from ages 6–13. He will transition from his current role as the organisation’s Pastoral Lead to Team Leader on the 1st of December, 2024.
