If you are considering the next stage in your faith journey, have a heart for Christian mission in a festival context and would like to live and serve in beautiful Wadebridge, Cornwall, you’ve come to the right place! Whether you’re interested in a summer internship, gap year placement or joining as a core team member, get in touch.
To work with a great team of missional volunteers that love Jesus, love people and love to celebrate the good news of a God who loves us! A fast-paced working environment that is crazy, joy-filled and never boring. Sun (sometimes!), sea and surf – a great place to live in beautiful Cornwall. The experience of being part of the core team at one of the UK’s fastest-growing, most exciting outreach-focussed Christian festivals, bringing some the world’s biggest Christian bands and brightest minds to the South West. To work hard, play hard and pray hard. To survive on less sleep than you’ve ever thought possible for one beautiful week in August and keep smiling anyway!
This year, we will be looking for summer interns to work with us for 2 months minimum, from June and July onwards.
If you want to come and serve with Creation Fest as part of your gap year, or make a longer-term committment to us, we accept applications for core team members on a rolling basis. Please contact the office for more information.
Life as part of the Creation Fest core team is full and varied. Whether you come for the summer or are staying for longer, we work as a team and everyone is expected to do a little bit of everything (especially when it comes to the summer festival). You don’t HAVE to be a specialist in anything, but we do have specific areas of work that we are particularly interested in finding help with.
We are looking for a variety of creative, dedicated volunteers to join our team and step into a number of key roles. Ideally, volunteers would be:
A dedicated volunteer to help us menu plan, prep, and oversee our busy Big Shed Cafe from 30 July – 1 August and recruit friendly (and barista-trained!) volunteers.
A faithful volunteer to help us oversee our 20+ exhibitors and the resources they will make available in our marketplace area, including liasing with our Big Shed manager for safe traffic flows.
A Cornish local leader to help us find host homes for our main stage bands and speakers and arrange the details for COVID-friendly stays for our UK guests and key contributors.
A friendly face ready to help oversee our tokens and opening hours for bouncy castles, activity busses, face painters, and more.
This year, welcome will be more important than ever. This leader will help us oversee our entry point and our welcome teams at key venues across the festival site in a safe, friendly and well-organised manner.
Ideally available from 26 July – 2 August to assist with transport, collections, deliveries, and orders during the week of Creation Fest. Drivers license and own vehicle necessary; mileage reimburse available.
Our Senior Leadership Team oversees the work of the organisation and the teams that make it up. They pastorally care for those we serve and those serving with us, and will also be involved in local ministry and leadership, including preaching, teaching and or leading worship. If you have significant experience leading Youth or Children’s ministries, overseeing large-scale Christian or outreach events or working in church leadership, this might be for you. Suitable qualifications and/or significant experience is required for these roles. Senior Leadership Team roles require a longer-term, 12 month+ commitment.
Apart from treasures in heaven, you mean? As a missional organisation, all of our core team and interns are missionaries, raising their own personal support and volunteering for Creation Fest (meaning that there are no salaries attached to any of these roles). We can provide accommodation, reasonable travel expenses (including visa costs if relevant) and help with raising personal support. And of course lots of fun, every opportunity to stretch your wings, try new things and take responsibility, and a CV at the end of it that looks amazing.
These opportunities are open to both UK residents and international applicants (subject to visa requirements).
If you’re interested in one of our Core Team positions or joining us as an intern and would like to find out more, we’d love to hear from you! Please contact office@creationfest.org.uk.
