Creation Fest 2023… The beat goes on!

By Molly Toms

We’ve just finished wrapping up every last tent peg and marquee from the Creation Fest site! What a week of exploring the rhythms of faith and keeping in step with the Spirit.

We saw curveballs this year including 65 mph winds on the Saturday, a complete re-envisioning of our festival event, and a stunning sense of joy even in the midst of many changes.

This year, we saw:

5112 day visitors come through our gates

974 campers on site

140 decisions to follow Jesus

12 baptisms

1000+ receive prayer in our prayer tents

539 volunteers from around the world

80+ hours of uninterrupted worship

6600 meals served in our kitchens

4950 hot drinks served in our cafes

1 life-sized inflatable elephant

We gather, sing, celebrate, camp in order to see an encounter with the living God. We saw that this year in so many ways;

-In the young person who started the week saying, “I hate God!” and finished it in worship;

-In the testimony of a young man who met Jesus last year at Creation Fest and returned this year as a volunteer, healed of many mental and emotional challenges

-In the recurring prophetic words about legacy, carrying the fragrance of Christ, Jesus with us in the storms.

-In the new songs being written, in the stories being told,

-In the volunteers who arrived from California, Honduras, Norwich, Florida, Manchester, and Scotland to serve,

-In the unsung heroes, the quiet, hidden kindnesses reminding us that faith is an everyday journey.

So…what’s next?

We are praying and dreaming for 2024 (stay tuned). We’d love to invite you to watch and share our highlights video; may the words, music, and visuals be a gift to you.

And we’ve attached one final rhythms guide from Tim Chaddick to invite you to walk in a rhythm of rest.

Breathe deep. Walk with Jesus. He is with you.
