Why I love the Skate Park

It’s fair to say that Creation Fest is pretty much an established part of our calendar these days. I can’t figure out if 2019 was the 12th or 13th year that I’ve been involved, but whatever the number, it’s always a joy to gather with friends from different parts of the world, celebrating Christ and seeking to make him known. I typically find myself serving in the skatepark, as that is something that I’ve been involved with for most of my life, so no wonder God has used it for his purposes.

It’s October – which can only mean one thing… Oh yes! It’s all about the Worship Tour! We loved it so much last year that we can’t wait to partner with Jon Hudson and band (didn’t they do a great job leading our morning worship at this year’s festival?) to take the heart of Creation Fest worship on tour to six locations across Devon and Cornwall for six nights of unhindered praise and worship that builds community and brings forth the glory of heaven! We Raise a Hallelujah

A month on from our 2019 Creation Fest experience, I look back with many precious memories of the week we set aside to be together – an important part of our church year. Over 60 of us camped on site and others journeyed up from our home towns of Hayle and Penzance to enjoy a feast of spiritual food, amazing fellowship and God-encountering worship.

An Extraordinary Week

All year long, we plan and pray for an extraordinary week. Of course, this is our prayer for Creation Fest every year, but when you name it and say it out loud, not just as your prayer for the week but your theme for it also, it feels doubly weighty, of increased significance.
