The new normal

If you’ve camped at Creation Fest before, you might notice a few changes to our camping site this year.  We’re working hard with constantly changing guidelines but will keep this page updated with our latest COVID-compliant site rules. We know that we all want to gather safely AND have fun, so we’d ask for an extra-special dose of grace and understanding as we navigate this new normal together!

When can I arrive?

Campers for the Big Weekend can arrive from 12pm on Thursday 29 July.

Please note that venues, cafes etc will not be open to the public prior to Friday 30 July and there will be construction taking place on site.

When do I need to leave?

The campsite must be vacated by 10am on Monday 2 August. Please note that the festival officially finishes at 10:00 pm on Sunday 1 August, and after this time all venues, cafes etc will be closed to the public as pack down will commence.

Why can't I book individual nights camping this year?

Due to the many varying and complicated circumstances surrounding this year’s event, we will only be offering one 4-night camping option (Thursday 30 July – Sunday 2 August) for 2021.

Are there any non-camping accommodation options?

You can book luxury glamping onsite with Yippee Tents.

Alternatively, there are a number of guest houses or Airbnb options in and around Wadebridge, as well as a Travelodge and Premier Inn.

Can I bring my dog with me?

Unfortunately not. Only registered assistance dogs, wearing their jackets and accompanied by their certificate, are permitted on site. If you have an assistance dog, please register it with the Information Point on arrival.

Can I book on arrival and/or pay by cash?

Camping must be pre-booked before the event via our website.

Payment cannot be made in cash, only via credit or debit card.

Can I charge my phone?

Yes, there are charging points in the Camping Office.

Can I freeze my ice packs?

Yes, the Camping Office offers an ice pack freezing service. Remember to bring enough to rotate!

Can I hire / buy camping equipment on site?

Unfortunately not. There are several shops nearby that sell some camping equipment, including Tesco, B&M Stores and Dickson Home Hardware in Wadebridge.

Where can I do laundry?

There is a coin-operated launderette on Polmorla Road, Wadebridge.

Can I choose where I camp?

This year, due to the additional Health & Safety requirements of COVID-19 and some rescheduling of events at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre that has had a knock-on affect on the space available to us, we are unable to let people choose where they camp.

For 2021, we will not be running specific Youth, Abide or Quiet camping areas, nor will people be able to select zones to camp in.

We understand that this will be disappointing to many but, unfortunately, we have had to make some tough decisions to enable this year’s event to go ahead. We hope to go back to a usual camping groups policy in 2022.

Can I still camp with my church/group?

We will be following all government guidance at the time of the event. At the moment, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to camp next to anyone outside of your household/bubble. Camping will be allocated randomly but should we be able to accommodate grouping people together in line with government guidance we will try our best to do so.

How do I cancel my booking?

A 25% cancellation charge will apply to ALL bookings this year.

In the event that you need to cancel your booking, please contact us via the “Contact Us” link on the camping booking system.

For payments made by credit/debit card, a refund will be made to the card used to book if within 60 days of the original payment. All other refunds will be made by online payment upon provision of sort code and account number. Please allow 30 days to process the refund.

You may wish to speak to an insurance broker for advice on a suitable policy to cover you in a case of cancellation (policies can be as low as a few pounds for individuals).

Can I get a refund if the 2021 is cancelled?

Unfortunately no insurance companies are covering cancellation of large-scale events due to COVID-19, and many of our own costs this year also come with a 25% non-refundable deposit. Therefore, it will simply not possible for us to refund 100% of ticket prices this year. If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19, we will have to retain 25% of the camping price to cover our own non-refundable costs. We hope that you understand the reasons behind this very hard decision.

I am under 18. Can I camp at Creation Fest?

Yes, but you will need to be part of a group with at least one responsible adult (maximum of six under 18s per responsible adult please!).

What do I do on arrival?

Head straight for the Camping Office, where you’ll be given a warm welcome, as well as all the information that you need.

What do I do about food?

As well as on-site cafes and food trucks, there are several supermarkets, restaurants and cafes in Wadebridge, including a Tesco, Aldi and 24hr Marks and Spencer within walking distance of the campsite.

I am volunteering. How do I get free camping?

If you are volunteering for six hours per day or more for all there days of the festival, you are entitled to free camping.

You will be sent a code to redeem your free camping once your volunteer application has been processed and accepted.

Please note: only the volunteer is entitled to free camping. Accompanying friends, family and children are welcome but must pay.

I have not received a camping confirmation email

You should receive your booking confirmation email within 24hrs of making your booking. If this does not happen, please check your junk/spam folders and then contact us.

Can I book an electrical hookup?

Yes! A limited number of electrical hookups are available at the time of booking. There is an additional charge for this.

I have accessibility needs. Can I camp?

Absolutely! We have dedicated accessible camping and parking areas on site, and The Royal Cornwall Events Centre has multiple accessible toilets and showers, including a high dependency/changing spaces toilet. Full details can be found on their website.
